Updated ideas for human modeling based on those: * Make the faces completely featureless to keep things simple, the sprites are sort of ambivalent on this (the Mage character has pretty distinct facial features, Batlin has zero face) * Completely uniform colors whenever we can get away with it, should be most characters * Try to do tunics and hair, accessories that have obvious visual shape outside the character as separate meshes that cover the character and are also skeletally animated. Trick up the base mesh so it can be selectively shrunk into stick insect form under the clothes so you don't have base mesh surface clipping through the cloth. (Alternatively, use 100% transparency patches in base mesh texture?) * Body-hugging stuff like the white underclothes, shoes etc. are probably still simplest done with a texture map on the base mesh.
